Today, cybersecurity has become a buzzword in every industry, as the cyber landscape is becoming complex, bold, and threatened. The modern world is comprised of two types of organizations: those who have been breached and those who do not yet know that they’ve been breached. A company's ability to detect sophisticated breaches, as well as their speed in doing so, is challenged.
Given the large amount of critical data used by companies, cyber security is becoming more and more imperative. In today's digital environment, the threat of being attacked seems limitless, but cybersecurity professionals are also developing cutting-edge protection solutions to eliminate these threats and mitigate attacks. The CYBERSECURITY CONFERENCE MEA provided the perfect setting to learn about current cybersecurity risks and potential threats, as well as best practices for proactively securing companies, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence applied to the energy sector.

The Tunisian CYBERSECURITY CONFERENCE MEA was the outcome of eight successive editions of CYBERSECURITY CONFERENCES in Mannheim, Germany, as well as a strategic partnership between SAMA PARTNERS Group and the Arab ICT Organization (AICTO).

2023, SAMA PARTNERS & AICTO worked together on an interesting and engaging program, featuring high-level experts from various sectors with a special focus on the Energy Sector. „CAPTURE THE FLAG“ Hacking Challenge

An important part of the event was the "Capture the Flag" challenge. It was organized by SAMA PARTNERS and our academic partner, ISI SECURINETS.

The CYBERSECURITY CONFERENCE MEA organized awards for the best Tunisian cybersecurity master, bachelor, and end-of-study projects. The jury was composed of:

  • Dr. Ali Mabrouk, CEO, SAMA PARTNERS Business Solutions Group
  • Professor Slim Rekhis, Lab Director at Communication Networks and Security Research Lab, SUP’COM
  • Professor Brahim Hnich, Professor of Computer Science, Monastir University

At the end of the conference, we had two workshops:

  • Workshop 01: Next-Generation SOC technical & functional simulation for the Energy Sector.
  • Workshop 02: “Introduction to Pentesting - Unveiling Cybersecurity Vulnerabilities - Understanding Pentesting: Discover what pentesting entails, why it is crucial, and how it complements other cybersecurity measures”.

Congratulations to the Arab ICT Organization of the Arab League and Sama Partners for this fruitful conference.
